All I can say is this: When The MonT-SteR takes a holiday vacation, he doesn’t kid around.

Those of you who have been visiting The MonT-SteR REPORT regularly have no doubt felt a measure of frustration or bewilderment (or both, or nothing at all) at the lack of postage around here. I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus since before Thanksgiving — something I didn’t intend. Sorry about that. With the advent of the New Year, I can honestly say, “I’m baaaa-aaaack!”

And to titillate your blogbuds, here is a sneak preview of what’s coming:

  • The response to Fr. Morley on the potential “evolution” of Christian views on gay marriage that I spoke of loooong ago. While the Cumberland Times-News will probably not print my response (it’s been too long since Fr. Morley’s letter first appeared in the paper), I can’t let Fr. Morley’s sincere but seriously misguided treatment of the matter go without reply.
  • A critique of the so-called “Platinum Rule,” as espoused by Dr. Tony Alessandra. There are some who tout the Platinum Rule as an improvement on the Golden Rule we find in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I won’t tell you yet how I feel about it, but you can probably imagine. For those who can’t, you’ll find out soon enough. Just wait for my post.

And that’s it for now. I’m off to go buy some pizza and other delectibles for this increasingly pregnant woman I’m hitched to — I can’t let my beloved or bAbY MonT-SteR go hungry!

Love and blessings to all. I hope and pray you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoy a very Happy New Year.

In Christ,

Rob
aka The MonT-SteR

P.S. To the Boomer Sooner fans over at MadPony.com: How `bout them Tigers!!

P.P.S. Oh, and by the way — OU didn’t “hand off” the championship. They got beat. At this point, if I were prone to gloating, I might sit and taunt you by chanting, “TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT! TIGER BAIT!” until I was hoarse (or at least until my fingers got tired of typing). That doesn’t accord with good sportsmanship, however, so we’ll just leave it that you lost fair and square. To a superior team. Whose defense PUNISHED YOUR HEISMAN TROPHY WINNING QB UNTIL HE COULD BARELY WALK!!!
